ABOUT THE COURSE
In this course, we examine the variety of indoor air quality technologies available. We take a deep dive into three air cleaning and surface disinfection technologies, including:
- How they work
- Their efficacy against viruses, bacteria, mold, and VOCs
- How to select the most appropriate solution that addresses the health and safety of the occupants
What we know
Humans spend 90% of their lives indoors. Yet indoor air is 5x more contaminated than outdoor air.
There is mounting research supporting the significance of airborne transmission of viruses. Experts now acknowledge that SARS-CoV-2 can be spread by airborne transmission, and that under certain conditions, people with COVID-19 can infect those who are more than 6 feet away. This suggests that viral particles can remain suspended in the air for long periods and can be inhaled.
